Summer Meal Programs

25 Jun

Just watching KOMO 4 News, and they mention the Seattle area recieved a $225,000 grant from Walmart, for a summer food program. With school being out, a lot of families find it difficult to provide the extra meals to their children that they would normally get from school lunches.  Thanks Walmart! It always warms my heart to hear stories like these. For more info on the Seattle area Summer Food Service Program, head here.

For the Puyallup area, the Puyallup School District is sponsoring the Summer Meals Program for Children. For more info, head here.

For the rest of Washington, you can check out the ParentHelp123, website or look here, to see if there is a location near you. The site also lists a number you can call.

The programs are  for children and teens 18 years and younger.

No child should ever be hungry so please share if you know someone who could use the help. Have a great Summer!
